Not a wheel class! Hand building is a technique of shaping rolled out slabs of clay to make your form. It’s great for beginners and allows you to make a much larger object your first time than a wheel throwing workshop.
Learn the craft of hand-building in this beginner friendly workshop, where you’ll get to make your own handled mug
You’ll be given a slab of clay large enough to create the sides, bottom and handle of your mug. Our instructor Ellis will guide you through the processes of cutting, slip and scoring, and finish techniques. Once finished, pick out your color and we’ll glaze and fire your piece.
Cancellations and Refunds
**Any cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled workshop for reschedule or refund. This includes sickness or testing positive for COVID**
Due to the unpredictable nature of the ceramics process, we cannot guarantee the results of the firing. While we’ll do our best to guide you through the making process to get the best results, pieces may explode or become damaged beyond salvaging in the kiln, and we cannot offer refunds for those pieces.
